It was midnight, on the night of the new moon. If the stars even existed on this frigid night, they were concealed. Not even the wind stirred. To the young loner traveling that night, everything was utterly perfect. The black cat smiled; a cold mirthless smile that did not reach her blazing orange eyes. She was padding through the forest, not making a sound, her sharp eyes wary, hunting for any sort of trouble she could find. Night of No Stars, more than half evil by nature and a clever, creative fighter, loved making trouble. The day she was born, her mother had been murdered by Clan cats, and she had grown up under her father's wing. He had taught her to hait Clan cats. And so she did. She loved causing them misery. Once she caught a mouse, and instead of killing it instantly she let it struggle under her paw for a few moments, until its frantic squealing threatened to betray her position and she slit its neck, gobbling it down with a crunch and a gulp. Worried that some other cat might now know where she was, she continued on, prowling through the night.

Crowfeather heard the squealing of the mouse, and dashed on silent paws, through the forest. He caught the black loner, red handed. He hissed, "What are you doing here, kittypet? Run away from your precous twolegs, and now you're lost?" he smiled a crooked smile. He didn't show his position. He crept to a tree, and jumped on it, easily not making a sound. "Or, are you a rogue, killing everything in it's path? Well, I'll just stop there. It doesn't matter what you are, now is it? All that matters is that you'll be crow-food in two heartbeats, unless you get off our territory!" he spat. He hated cats who hunted on his Clan's territory. He spit, and jumped from the tree. He landed infront of the she-cat.

Whitediamond glided through the forest on silent paws, her eyes trained on the dark forest before her and not the swaying leaves in her wake. The scent of RiverClan filled her nostrils and she was content- for now. Whitediamond loved to hunt at night. She was in her domain, she was dominant. At night, she could be herself, she could be a cat; a hunter. Unlike most, Whitediamond found it hard to sleep, instead, she found herself exploring the forest more often.
A scuffling in the bushes nearby stopped her midnight run and she hesitated, pondering on whether she should hunt or not. She made her decision and crept into the trees, halting once or twice to sniff the air before pinpointing her prey; a vole. Not only could Whitediamond have a midnight run, she could also have a snack. She spotted the vole just tail-lengths ahead and kept her keen, blue eyes fixed on it, the diamond on her forehead bristling when it did when she was anticipating something. Finally, feeling it was the right time by some cat instinct, Whitediamond shot out of the trees like a bow from an arrow and slapped her paws down, claws unsheathed, on her prey. She didn't even give it time to squeal, but dispatched it quickly.
Satisfied, Whitediamond straightened up and began eating it, crouching with her belly fur brushing the ground. But some faint snarl made her freeze mid-bite. Curious, Whitediamond lifted her head and opened her mouth to sniff the air. Cats. Prey forgotten, the white she-cat prowled through the trees of RiverClan and came out on the WindClan border. Fox-lengths away, a cat was jumping from a tree, hissing at anther cat; a rogue most likely. Whitediamond knew that it was forbidden to cross Clan boundaries, she made herself inconspicuous by hiding in some bushes and watched the confrontation with interest. This would be an entertaining night.

"Loner," Night corrected. She stood looking completely relaxed, completely nonchalant- but, being a loner her entire life, she barely even knew what "nonchalant" or "relaxed" meant. She unsheathed her claws, her dark blue eyes dancing in the moonlight. "And anyway, you might not want to be hypocritical, Clan cat." She sneered the last two words. "I could make crowfood of you in an instant."

Crowfeather couldn't help, but supress a laugh. "Oh, please! You wouldn't know crow-food, even if you're mother gave it to you for dinner!" he snarled. "Now, filthy peice of mouse-dung, if you get off WindClan's territory now, I won't kill you, otherwise..." He licked a claw. "You know what I mean." he put his paw down, and stared at the loner. She was pretty attractive, but she was a loner! Not wanting to be a Clan cat. He just kept looking. He would kill her, but she could be useful if join WindClan.

Night tensed, ready to spring- then remembering what she had been taught, she let her muscles relax, guaranteeing more fluid movements. ooc}} She probably will join WindClan... if given the chance. o.O

Crowfeather straitened. "You look like a worthy Clan cat... I'm not offering you to join, or anything, but maybe Onestar could take you under his wing. If you want to be a Clan-cat, that is." Crowfeather's blue eyes burned into the loner's. They looked like saphires under the gleaming sun, making the world bright, but he dared not to say that. He sat down, licking a claw, not mattering if she attacked or not. He could easily out run her, and plus, he didn't want to scar her beautiful face.
((HAHA!! Looks like Crowfeather has another crush!!))

Night twitched her tail. "A Clan cat?" she said slowly. "What exactly do yo do, though, that loners don't?" She snorted softly.

Crowfeather lowered his now clean paw. "We live in groups. We take care of eachother, and we serve under the warrior code. Something you shall learn when you learn the ways of a Clan cat. There are five Clans. ShadowClan, RiverClan, ThunderClan, WindClan, and," Crowfeather paused, and looked up at the brightless night sky. "StarClan. They live in Silverpelt." he raised a paw, towards the sky, and let in fall back down. He looked back at the loner. "All Clan cats go to StarClan when they die. They watch over the Clans in the heavens." He stared deep into the loner's beautiful eyes. "My name if Crowfeather. You are currently on WindClan's territory. Remember when I said the name 'Onestar'? Well, he is our leader. All cats have nine lives. When one leader dies, his deputy shall become leader. Then, they go on a journey to the Moon Stone, where they recive nine lives, and 'star' at the end of there name." he explained. "Now, if you wish, you can come back to camp with me, otherwise, you need to get off our territory." Crowfeather turned, and walked, slowly into the bushes, waiting to hear the pretty loner's paw steps behind him.

Night considered for a second. She was only seven moons old, young for living motherless on her own. Cautiously, she rose to her paws and followed Crowfeather, her pawsteps soundless even in the dead of night.

Crowfeather chuckled. "Good, let's go!" he jumped from the bushes and landed in the open moor. He raced in circles, and up and down, trying to show off.

Whitediamond hissed softly from her hiding place in the reeds of RiverClan and leapt suddenly from the bushes, darting up the slope and skidding to a halt in front of Crowfeather and the loner. Her eyes were blazing and her shoulder fur was bristling. Not caring to see whether Crowfeather and the loner reacted right away, Whitediamond pushed Crowfeather away from the crest of the slope.
She knew it wasn't her place to intrude Clan boundaries, but this was serious. She turned to face Crowfeather, showing her white teeth in the gleam of the moonlight. "Are you mouse-brained?" she hissed. "Do you want to be disrespected by your Clanmates again?" She looked around hurriedly. "I am not intruding. I am trying to keep the warrior code rightful. Do you deny that you have just invited a loner to join the Clan just like that?"

Night hissed under her breath, but she didn't make any move to stop the cat, just waited for Crowfeather's reaction.

Crowfeather turned and saw Whitediamond. "Eavesdropper!" he snarled. "This does not concern you! And get off WindClan's territory! Hey, you never know, maybe she'll be the best warrior ever!" he was in front of her face, now. "Just like Firestar! Get off WindClan's territory!" he yowled, trying to wake up every cat around, for reinforcments.

Night jumped at Crowfeather's anger, and found herself instinctively unsheathing her claws, her lips drawing back in a snarl. Her claws flexed in the ground.
