This is a very jumbled Eragon RP where everyone can have a dragon if they want. It is semi-literate, so no one-liners! I'd like at least a good, solid paragraph, if not, two. Also, you can RP as anything else if you want. You may have up to one dragon and Rider and about two of anything else so it doesn't get too confusing. Let's get going! If you want to RP with me, you'll have to either fight me or just talk with my Rider or dragon. Otherwise, you can just post here, with whatever character you're going to use and let other people continue from there. My post is really literate. Don't try to match up to it if you don't want. It was a cool morning and the strong scent of dew and freshly spilt blood was in the air. A couple birds let out a tentative squeak, but most had fled during the battle or had been shot by Urgal arrows. Crumpled bodies lay all over the ground and their blood soaked into the grass, turning it red. Nearby, a young man sat on a rock, panting after his encounter and drawing his cloak tightly around himself. David hadn't even bothered to kick an Urgal body, finding it to not suit his nature, but instead walked around the wood a little to see if he could find some firewood. But with dew and morning moisture clinging to everything, it was hard to find a dry spot.
You just didn't look hard enough, little one. A voice startled him out of his thoughts. He could never get used to the fact that the voice came from inside his head and was not spoken aloud. He looked round him to see the source of the sound, a large bulk lying patiently to his left. His dragon, Spiricia sparkled in the morning along with the un-bloodstained grass and twigs. Her silver scales shone like tiny crystals, illuminating the darkness of dawn. Maybe... His dragon snorted, but with derision, not frustration. Spiricia had hatched for David almost a month ago and already, she was huge. She could fly very well and could even carry David some distances which she was proud of. David enjoyed her company. She had a good temperament since she hardly lost her temper and was honest and sincere with what she said. David never disbelieved her. This morning, they had taken off for an early flight and had come across three Urgals and had attacked, from the air at first. Urgals were never a good sign, therefor could never be let alone. Spiricia's wings grew weary after a time, so she had alighted nearby to continue the battle. Luckily enough for them, the Urgals were so frightened and shocked by Spiricia, that it was easy to defeat a couple though the last one proved a bit more difficult than the rest and just after the battle, David had concluded that he had been a Kull, not an Urgal. From behind him, Spiricia laughed as only a dragon could. Those Urgal's could never fight me. They could never even pierce my scales. David smiled to himself, reClanmateing, that Spiricia was very proud of her race. Except for those who hatched for the Empire. She called them traitors, egg-stealers and murderers. Don't be too sure, Spiricia. That Kull had fierce weapons an armor. You never know... Spiricia stood and walked over to her Rider, stopping so that she was directly in front of him. There, she flared her large silver wings, which rippled with muscle. She looked down at him, amusement gleaming in her stormy gray eyes. Do you doubt my strength and courage, little one? Your courage has no limits, but you are not yet strong enough to face the most evil-hearted, David reminded her. Spiricia folded her wings again and crouched in front of him. David though she was going to do something impressive, but she didn't move, just stared at him with unblinking eyes. David turned back to the battle scene before him, sighing. The sun was rising steadily over the hills and he knew he should get back to the Beors. At the moment, they were west of them in the Spine. Very far for a human's legs, but nothing for a fully mature dragon's wings. Unfortunately, Spiricia's wings were still not fully fledged, so they had to walk some ways through the Hadaroc Desert. David disliked that the most. Why don't we just walk through the Spine then fly over the Hadaroc Desert. There's water and coolness in the forest, I am sure. Spiricia nudged him gently while she was speaking, reminding him that she could read his thoughts. David ran a hand over her brilliant scales and grinned at her. She grinned a dragon's grin back at him. David arose from his place on the stump and walked with the silver dragon to the edge of the battle scene. You sure about this Spiricia? he asked her shiftily as he gazed into the dark depths of the forest. Walking through a forest is much more dangerous than walking through a desert. Spiricia looked at him, her eyes filled with determination. Little one, if we can handle a Kull, then we can handle whatever lurks and awaits us in the forest. David nodded. Very well... Stroking her scales to show his trust for her, Rider and dragon plunged into the shadowy trees to begin their journey home.[/blockquote]

Amy looked down from where she was perched atop the back of a huge blue dragon. The dragon, Winter, looked down at the spot where the dragon and Rider had disappeared moments before and snorted with confusion and mock. Why don't they just fly? Amy silenced her dragon and peered down over her neck in equal confusion, but refused to let it show.
Although Winter was sky blue, Amy had preferred the name Winter over anything else relating to blue or such like that. Some of the other Imperials had disagreed with her decision, but had no choice but to respect her anyways. Winter was a fiery, and sometimes daring dragon which was good quality for the Empire. Amy urged Winter onwards and the two soared over the treetops in pursuit of the Varden pair.
It wasn't too hard to track the dragon and it's Rider. The dragon's scales were a bright silver and kept flashing when the sun hit them, illuminating the trees around it's location. This'll be easy, snorted Winter. She seems not yet mature enough to fly even. She must be their newest recruit. I wonder what they're doing so far from their precious Varden? Maybe they aren't the weaklings we thought they were, but are just fools. Amy held up a hand even though Winter couldn't see it to quiet her. Hush, Winter. Let me think what to do. Winter twisted her neck around to stare in amazement at her Rider. You need to think? It's a no-brainer. Attack!
Amy sighed. Winter would sometimes do things without thinking even if the answer to Amy was obvious. But Amy had to consider some things. What if the two on the forest floor were just faking being young and inexperienced. Maybe the dragon was just small for her age and they were actually really good, fierce fighters? Winter sighed and Amy grimaced at her dragon's impatience. Amy and Winter were one of the oldest Dragon Riders and Winter believed they could defeat anyone- even though they had had a few losses. But Amy also thought of that. Even if these two were faking, the dragon was still small and maybe unstable in flight. They could still attempt to strike.
Winter felt this last decision and roared suddenly so Amy jumped. What are you doind? she hissed. Watch. Winter went into a deep dive, going straight for the flashing of silver that had just disappeared. Amy was horrified. Winter stop!!! she screamed, but her dragon ignored her and continued her dive, her claws pointed on the exact location of the Rider and dragon.

Spiricia and David made their way through the forest, both tense and alert. David jumped at the littlest sound and Spiricia touched his mind gently with hers whenever that happened. It was slow going for vines and branches kept getting in the way and either David had to take out his sword and chop them down or Spiricia had to just tear them down with her teeth- and then spit them out in disgust. After a while, David's feet began to drag more and more and weariness overtook him. Sometimes, he would just stop and sway on the spot, but Spiricia would just give him a meaningful nudge and he would reluctantly continue.
After another two hours without getting anywhere, Spiricia froze and tensed her muscles, listening. David stopped with her to listen as well, but he couldn't hear anything. Then, Spiricia suddenly shoved David forward so forcefully that he nearly toppled over. Did you hear that? That rushing of air? There is something out there! she hissed. David felt a shiver go down his spine, but tried to hide it by saying. It may just be a bird of prey hunting above us. No, it is not a bird, little one. David began walking faster, hurrying along with Spiricia just behind him, her neck extended as she listened intently. Dragon! snarled Spiricia so suddenly that David nearly leapt into the nearest tree. Spricia emaciated a sudden feeling of despair and intense fear. They are just above us. I heard a roar a moment ago... David's heart sank when he heard this. He realized their horrid mistake. We've pinpointed out exact location, Spiricia. Huh? Your scales have been showing through the trees, Spiricia. I'm so sorry. We shouldn't have gone through the Spine. But Spiricia was no longer listening to David. She was staring in horror at the sky. David looked up just in time to see the gleam of claws before Spiricia hurled him out of the way with her body. David was thrown to the side and he landed hard on his arm on some frozen grass. Cursing his carelessness for coming somewhere as dangerous as the Spine, he got up, rubbing his arm. Spiricia plodded over to him hurriedly and turned. We must fly! she growled. David stared at her. She couldn't take off in such a closed in space as this little clearing. Being as young as she was, Spiricia needed a running start to get going. But she was insistent so David ran to her and mounted her back, holding onto the saddle tightly. Hold on, my Rider. David knew right then and there that this was going to be a chase of a lifetime. Spiricia wasn't yet experienced enough to fight, so she was going to have to fly as fast as she could to outfly the other dragon. David had nothing to trust but her speed and agility she had been granted with. Spiricia sighed, taking a deep breath before fixing her eyes at the end of the clearing. She desperately hoped the other Rider had been distracted by their sudden movement to the side. She flexed her wing muscles and raised her head to feel the wind. When they were afloat, she would need to find a wind current fast so she would only have to soar. She fixed her keen dragon gaze on the clearing, measuring it's length, deciding how much momentum she would need to take off. Her wings would only benefit her once she was afloat. Hurry up! urged David from her back. They are drawing closer! He's not the one trying to fly in a tight place, thought Spiricia irritably as she took in her last thoughts. Finally, when she deemed she was ready, the gigantic silver dragon fanned out her magnificent wings and roared to show she was rebellious before thundering forward at full speed. Her wings were slowly catching the breeze, making her half-run half-bounce as she neared the edge of the clearing. There, she made a tremendous leap into the air and the wind seized hold of her tearing her away from the foliage beneath her and into the blue of the sky. She roared in triumph and looked behind her to see a huge blue bulk hovering just above the treetops. She banked suddenly. Little one, I feel stronger! I think we must fight back! David was horrified by his dragon's sudden impulse. No! They are too strong for us. We must fly! Fly, Spiricia! Catch a wind current! But Spiricia shook her head. No, my Rider. I have fled enough. Now, I must show the Empire what the Varden is really made of! David sighed. He wasn't about to change his dragon's mind so he drew an arrow from his quiver and swung his bow into his hands. Then I am ready. With skilled elven fingers, he notched an arrow. Spiricia bared her teeth in a theatening snarl at the other dragon to show defiance before circling just above them. While they were above, they had the upper hand. David let his arrow fly, aimed expertly at the dragon and it's Rider. He waited for a millisecond before yelling, "Brisingr!" A blue flame shot from nowhere and sizzled around the arrow without scorching it. The enflamed arrow shot toward the enemy and Spiricia made her quick escape, turning suddenly and soaring away to get a head start if it came to a fight.[/blockquote] (Done)

Amy grit her teeth and shut her mouth tight as the wind whipped past her. Winter's neck was aimed straight at a cushion of trees. We're gonna crash right into them! she thought in panic as Winter's dive steepened. VROOM! Winter braked so suddenly, that Amy was thrown across the saddle. She slid down Winter's back and landed on the ground hard, winding herself. The ground was bare. No Rider or dragon was in sight and Winter was snarling in frustration. Amy got to her feet and glared at her dragon before dusting herself off and remounting Winter. Winter tossed her head back and stomped in her anger.
Once she was settled back in the saddle, Amy looked around, baffled by the fact that the dragon and it's Rider and disappeared so suddenly. They were nowhere to be seen. At first, Amy thought that the dragon had just been a figment of her and Winter's imagination before hearing a loud crackle nearby and a growl. Winter's eyes danced with excitement and, being as silent as possible, she took off again and hovered gracefully just above the dense foliage.
Amy looked for the source of the sound, craning her neck and listening as intently as her dragon. Where are they? spat Winter, balancing to keep Amy aboard. I don't know... Amy looked from side to side in puzzlement. Have they fled? Have the Varden fools f- She was cut off suddeny as she felt a sudden heat. She looked up and tried in vain to tell Winter to dodge before their was a scream of agony from Winter and the heat faded. Amy felt a swish of air as the Varden dragon flew away swiftly before Winter began plummeting the short distance to the ground.
Winter was flailing, writhing in the air in pain and Amy's side burned as if it was on fire and her head rang. She looked, dazed, over the saddle to find a singed arrow protruding from Winter's left wing. She had just enough time to observe this before the impact from the ground. Amy groaned as Winter hit the ground and Amy was again flung from the saddle. She rolled away from her dragon before coming to rest against a tree trunk. Winter lay still on her side, the wing with the arrow hung limp and useless by her side, but her face was screwed with pain. Get it out, Amy! Those Varden wretches! Get.... it...... out!!! Amy stumbled to her feet and staggered over to Winter before placing a shivering hand on her side. She mumbled a few words and the arrow slowly slid from the wing. Amy put the arrow on the ground beside her and spat on it before turning back to her wounded companion. Winter had stopped talking. She was just lying still, panting heavily. Amy's side throbbed and ached and burned. She placed her hand again on Winter's side and the muscle and skin slowly folded back together and the scar grew smaller and smaller.
Winter stood up slowly and flexed her wing before looking to the sky where the Rider and dragon were getting smaller on the horizon. Let's crush them, she growled softly. Amy nodded. She stood and stamped on the vile arrow before getting on Winter for the second time. The pair took off slowly as Winter's pain receded and her strength returned. There they are! Amy exclaimed. They are heading for a wind current. We'll fly around to the end of the current and catch them off guard. Winter nodded and pumped her wings, driving both of them through the skies and toward their destination, readying themselves for the upcoming battle.

The moment the arrow pierced the soft flesh of the Imperial dragon's wing, David winced on instinct. He hated to hurt anyone in such a cowardly-like manner, but he had no choice. Either he wait for the dragon to attack with teeth and claws or he make the first move. Spiricia quickly flapped her wings and hastily flew away to catch a wind current nearby. David looked down at her in confusion. I thought we were going to fight back...? Spiricia nodded, her head bouncing up and down as she replied, We are, little one. I just need more momentum. This may become more of a chase than a fight. But ready yourself anyways. David clutched the saddle firmly with both hands and sent encouragement through their mental link. Spiricia replied with a picture of all the other Varden dragons cheering them on. David smiled despite himself. Spiricia soared some distance before David thought of looking back. Spiricia did nothing to stop him, so he took one quick glance over the back end of the saddle. He was just in time to see a bright blue shape hurtle down into the trees and disappear. He heard a roar, now quite faint but he heard the agony in it and winced again. Spiricia, sensing his discomfort, hurried her flight a bit to take him farther from the scene. She scanned the horizon and saw a faint haze marking the wind current. Hold on, David. You mustn't fall now. The dragon and the wind met in a heartbeat and immediately, Spiricia was pulled into a new course, swept along by the leading winds. The wind pushed almost insistently on David's back. He shirt and cloak billowed out behind him. Spiricia formed a perfect streamline with her body so they shot through the current like an arrow from a bow. David clung to Spiricia as Rider and dragon hurtled through the wind current.[/blockquote] (It's a little short, but I couldn't think of much to say, sorry.)

(Mind if I join? I'm a little late.)
Avalon balanced himself as Lucia turned, making himself sway rhythmically along to her glide. He was carrying a message to Du Weldenvarden from Nasuada, informing them that they must ready themselves for the upcoming war with Galbatorix and send as many elves as possible to the Beors. Lucia's fiery red colour sparkled in the morning sun and lit up the dreary sky and thin clouds floating in it. Lucia soared effortlessly on, heading toward Du Weldenvarden. The reason she was taking a detour, was that the two weren't really eager to get back to Nasuada too soon and had decided to take their time. But if they got caught out here, they would be in for some trouble. Lucia was just over six months old and was very large. Her special talent was agility, but not so much speed which explained why they had set out early that morning and were still flying.
Suddenly, Lucia sensed a distraction from far below where they were slowly making their way over the Spine. From where he was, Avalon saw a blue dragon emerge form the treetops, it's bright blue wings spread out majestically as it began soaring in the opposite direction as they. It seemed to be in pursuit of something up ahead and as Avalon and Lucia grew even nearer, they saw another dragon in the distance making it's way toward a wind current. By the sun's rays, Avalon could just faintly make out it's colour. Spiricia. The newest Varden dragon out for a glide like them. Lucia chuckled. Looks like Spiricia and David have already run into some trouble. Avalon sighed and urged her onwards. Then we must aid them. They can't expect to defeat an older Empire dragon without assistance. But they are making good way. Let us follow at a distance. Lucia nodded and made aim for the sky blue dragon. She kept a good distance back as Avalon had instructed her, but kept her keen gaze trained on the dragon and Rider lest they should hurt their allies.

The wind current blew tirelessly eastward, hurling Spiricia and her Rider on to the Beor Mountains. Neither forgot the threat from behind nor the prospect of Spiricia tiring ahead. They just tried to concentrate on balancing and not letting the wind current toss them around. Spiricia growled now and then with effort and David focused all his energy onto giving her strength and clinging to the saddle. He didn't dare glance behind him for fear of seeing a giant bulk in pursuit or losing his balance. If David fell, Spiricia would have to drop out of the current and they would lose precious time. The dragon and Rider were surely on the chase once again. The Riders of Galbatorix were skilled magicians.
David straightened in the saddle and patted Spiricia's neck. She touched his mind suddenly. Little one, the wind current is beginning to have twists. I need you to help me steer. Her question caught him completely off guard and he sat dumbly in the saddle for a few moments before he felt her nudge his thoughts again. He shook his head, slowly and looked at his dragon. How? Spiricia looked around briefly to show the amusement in her eyes. David, surely by now you should know that Riders may see through their dragon's eyes. If I let you, you can see what I see. Of course David had heard of this, but he was still shocked. Spiricia's patience was helpful now as he just sat there. What if, while his mind was in Spiricia's, his body lost it's balance and fell off? That wouldn't be good. But it would be worse if Spiricia lost control of her flight in this speedy current. If that happened, he would fall off anyways. Spiricia continued flying, waiting for his answer. David sighed. He had no other choice. It was either take the risk of having his body fall or be torn along by a savage wind current. Alright then, Spiricia. What do I do? Spiricia stopped flapping her wings for a second to reply, Just sit still, little one. Do not resist against me or else the concentration will be lost. What....? David's question hit Spiricia's mind which she had guarded and he fell silent. He sat quietly and patiently on her back and let his mind relax. After a few moments, he began to feel a slight tug on his consciousness. David's first instinct was to recoil, but Spiricia's reminder echoed in his head and he let the little pull continue. He felt as if all his thoughts were being tugged from his brain. Then, his vision went dark. David panicked for a few seconds, casting about trying to find light or vision. Then, everything opened up to him again. But the world was an assortment of greens and blues. There was no other colour. Baffled, David tried to twist his head, but realized that it was only his thoughts that he had control over. His head was still on his body and his body was swaying precariously on Spiricia's back behind him. All you ever see of the world is green and blue, dear Spiricia? Spiricia sighed. I see a beauty in green and blue, my Rider. And I do not mind about the colour. At least I may see. David was silenced by this and he just let his thoughts sit. Then, he reClanmateed the reason Spiricia had allowed him in her head. Steering. Right, he thought. I have to help Spiricia spot twists and turns. Right.Spiricia angled her body so that David's body was secure on her back before picking up speed and hurtling toward the first turn which she dodged easily. Turn, warned David and a millisecond later, Spiricia rounded the next corner. Spiricia, I wonder where that blue dragon is... Spiricia's voice was grim as she replied, I do not know, little one. But they have not given up. I think that this battle had just begun.[/blockquote]

Winter carrying Amy soared through the sky, the sun shining bright on her sky blue scales. The large dragon was flying her fastest, zooming through the sky. They had to reach the end of the current before the Varden Rider did or else the battle would never start and they would never get a chance to defeat them. Amy's impatience and anxiety to reach the current before their enemies was strong on Winter and the blue dragon quickened her pace, pumping her wings until everything around them was a blur of blue and green and gold. Amy's concentration was on getting to the end of the wind current, but Winter's was suddenly fixed on something else. There is a dragon behind us, she informed her Rider. Amy was confused. How could the Rider and his dragon have gotten behind them? She balanced herself carefully before turning to look. She realized suddenly that the dragon was not the one they were chasing but a different one. And judging by it's colour, it wasn't exactly a welcoming sight. Winter's irritation scraped Amy's conscious, matching her own.
They're following us, she realized, voicing it to Winter. Winter snorted in frustration. Dang it all! Now we are well met. Amy clenched the fist that wasn't holding the saddle. This battle may be a little more interesting than she thought. The other dragon in the distance, judging by it's size, was still younger than Winter. But could her dragon take on two enemy Riders at once? Winter continued on, quickening even more until Amy's head was even thrown back by the force of the wind. Winter was determined. Determined to reach her destination and get well ahead of the threat from behind.

Avalon was getting fearful. By now, he had figured out the blue dragon's plan. She was going to attack Spiricia from the end of the current and was planning the element of surprise. We must stop them! cried Lucia, as she soared after the two dragons. Spiricia will never survive the battle, let alone a surprise attack. Avalon nodded and Lucia tried to pick up speed even though her wings were too small to catch too much wind and burst them along. Sometimes, Avalon blessed Lucia's talent for agility and sometimes he wished she were more speedy. He had to admit that most Riders were jealous of Spiricia because her multi talents and kind, gentle nature. Also, her stature was perfect for airborne battle. Despite this gift, Spiricia was not ready to face an Imperial dragon.
Lucia angled her wings in the blue dragon's direction and flapped harder. As she flew, Avalon made a silent decision with himself. They would have to attack the sky blue dragon. Now, he had recognized who it was, he was sure he could distract them long enough to let Spiricia attack. He had fought Amy and Winter once before and both had flown away, their strengths equally matched. But now, he would have to put himself forward and not back out. He couldn't afford to lose or tie with her again. Lucia sensed his thoughts and touched her mind gently to his to show him she was there and supporting him.
But they weren't seeming to be getting any closer to the sky blue dragon. The dragon was hurtling along with the obvious gift for speed and Lucia couldn't keep up. She was slowly getting more weary and Avalon wasn't sure how much longer they could last. But Lucia was determined and she kept up her pace, struggling to stay in view with the older dragon. Finally, Avalon abandoned his plan. We cannot win like this, Lucia. You and I know a shortcut to the end of the current. We cannot catch up to them and distract them so we are going to have to fight alongside out brethren. Lucia halted. Very well. But we must make haste. This dragon will reach the end of the current around the same time as us. All the more reason to hurry! Lucia changed directions swiftly and gracefully and began on her new course as the sun rose higher into the sky and Spiricia and David drew closer to their destination.

Turn, Spiricia! Now! The bright silver dragon ducked her head back and flailed around the corner almost unseating David's body. Each turn had grown more narrow and brisk. The fear of his body slipping from the saddle was strong in David now and he recoiled quickly as the Spiricia's head snapped up again. She looked slightly shaken, but the steely determination refused to leave her eyes. We are almost there. I know it. David didn't reply. His breath was still caught in his throat- wait, he didn't have a throat at the moment.... Suddenly, he cried out again, but too late. Spiricia saw the turn, but her reflexes were too slow. They crashed right through the wind current's wall and tumbled out into broad daylight. David screamed suddenly as his mind was wrenched out of Spiricia's. Spiricia tried in vain to cling to his thoughts, but he slipped from her like wet soap. His mind returned to his body. But his body had been unbalanced in the tumbled and was plummeting to the earth below. Spiricia!!!! shrieked David as he fell, his head aimed for the ground. David! Little one! cried the dragon in dismay. She pointed her muzzle to the ground and plunged toward her falling Rider. She didn't care that she too may crash and be injured or killed. She was only concerned and frightened for David. She was furious at herself for distracting him and furious for not being more careful. Now her Rider was plunging closer to his death. David was horrified as he saw his beloved dragon go into a dive and plummet toward him. "No!!! Spiricia stop!" he screamed as she dove toward him. But either she wasn't listening to him, or she couldn't hear him because she continued her dive. David looked at the ground, his eyes watering from the buffeting winds. It was slowly but surely coming closer and closer. And Spiricia was still diving toward him. The wind whipped his face and battered his body until he was writhing in the air. His mouth was ripped open and was already dry an sticky. His arms and legs had goosebumps on them, but he didn't notice. David's cloak had been torn off, almost strangling him in the process. Meanwhile, Spiricia continued her relentless dive. Suddenly, talons snatched him up and his fall was broken so suddenly that he was winded and a terrible pain surged up his chest. But David was still falling, though slower now. The claws still gripped him firmly. Finally, he felt larger claws wrap around him and he was lifted gently. He looked through his blurry vision just in time to see an eagle soar away on a draft of wind. Spiricia must have called and communicated with it. Soon, he was back on the silver dragon's back and they were slowly ascending back into the sky again. A feeling of intense relief and love came off both of them and it was not until they were safely back in the clouds that they spoke. I thought I'd lost you, panted Spiricia, once again steadying herself carefully. Yeah, so did I, gasped David, clutching the saddle so tightly his knuckles turned white. But there is some good news, reported Spiricia, the fear fading out of her tone. The end of the wind current is just up ahead. And the current is more gentle from here on. Want to try again? David patted Spiricia gratefully. Nah, let's just fly by ourselves to the end. You can manage, I imagine. Spiricia gave him a hint of amusement and began pumping the juice into her wings to get herself going. I knew you never doubted me. David grinned and laughed a shaky laugh for the first time in a while. Spiricia angled her wings south and the two continued on their way, the fear of death momentarily behind them.[/blockquote] (Whoa, that was an exhilarating post, lol.)

Ooc: Wow, that took my breath away, lol. Bic: Amy gripped the saddle and looked warily behind her. The Rider and the red dragon were gone. The Varden pair which had been following them moments before and disappeared without a trace. Confused, Amy looked in both directions to see if they had gone out to the side to ambush them. But there was no life or any human or dragon for miles around. Amy pulled at Winter's conscious, trying to arouse her attention, but the sky blue dragon didn't pay so much as an inkling to her Rider's urging. Instead, she growled in irritation and Amy pulled back as if stung. Winter was focused on pursuing the Rider and dragon and getting to the end of the wind current before they. She wasn't concerned at the moment of the Rider and dragon that had been behind them.
Amy sat back in the saddle, not sure whether to annoyed or agitated. Winter continued flying, her wingbeats the only sound despite the slight hum of dim sounds from the forest far below. Finally, Winter spoke, Amy, I can't be distracted. Either we defeat one which is weak still or attempt to defeat one way out of our league. I must continue on. Amy turned her head and refused to look at Winter's apologetic eyes. Instead, she said, Don't turn around. Look in front of you. Winter sighed and turned back to her flight. To her, it didn't really matter what the other Rider and dragon did as long as they didn't interfere with Winter and Amy's plan. As far as she was concerned, they had lost interest in the event and were simply flying to patrol elsewhere. So Winter and Amy proceeded in silence. Ooc: It's shorter than usual, but I didn't have much to say. On my next post, they should catch up to them. What do you say, Whitediamond?

David and Spiricia, after being battered by the raging wind current and David's frightening tumble, were speeding along on their way to the end of the current. The wind current billowed gently beside them, but they paid no notice. After the fright of losing one another, they had not dared to go back to it. Spiricia's thumping wingbeats were the only sound other than the churning of the wind current as it swept along alongside. Neither spoke, for both were concentrating hard, thinking of the prospect of battle. The two had not yet come to understand each other fully like their teachers, Glaedr and Oromis. Instead, the struggled to overcome their differences and be true to their soul deep bond that linked them together forever.
This proved to be hard sometimes, but now, all they felt for each other was love. The fright of nearly losing David was etched into Spiricia's memory like words imprinted on a tombstone. As long as she lived, whenever she fought with her Rider, she would reClanmate the fright of nearly losing him to nature. Nearly, but not quite. David, however would feel forever grateful to the mental communication that he had been gifted with. Spiricia had used it to communicate with the eagle that had helped save David's life. The two were lost in thought and nearly missed the end of the wind current as they sped through the skies.
Whoa!!!! cried David and Spiricia thrust out her claws in order to slow herself down. The silver female dragon immediately banked and soared back to the ending of their journey. Spiricia hovered just above the trees; the ending of the trees. Spiricia grinned to herself and twisted round to look gleefully at David, but her Rider was looking behind them, his eyes wide with horror. Spiricia craned her neck and squinted into the distance to see what had upset her Rider. The sky was thick with a haze, partly caused by the dew evaporating and Spiricia had to use her dragon senses to fully see. A tiny speck of black was slowly darting through the mist, seeming to be aimed straight at Spiricia. Frightened suddenly, she realized the true threat of the other Rider and dragon. All this time, they really had been following relentlessly behind. Spiricia...... whispered David, but Spiricia was already narrowing her eyes in thought. I know, little one. I've seen them. I have to decide what to do. David clenched his fists and closed his eyes. The Imperial dragon would not give up so easily, this he knew. But David only had experience fighting lowly soldiers like himself but never legendary Dragon Riders. This would be a battle between life and death and the Imperial pair would not stop until either was accomplished. This frightened David even more. Spiricia sent him comforting emotions, but David pushed them away and focused on the coming dragon. Fear coursed through him so violently, that he was pale. Spiricia didn't know what was going on with her Rider and suddenly went into a shallow dive to shake him from his thoughts. David felt the sudden shake so suddenly, that he almost twisted in the saddle, but other than that, it did the trick. Spiricia pulled herself upright and looked at him, dead seriousness in her eyes. David, little one. I know this is frightening for you, but you mustn't panic. You were once a regular soldier, but are you that anymore? You have always told me never to fear the enemy and I believed your judgement, because I sensed that you had faced them. Now, would you fear the evil-hearted? Besides, my Rider, you have me now. We are one. One mind, one emotion. One. David looked at Spiricia and saw a wise light in her eyes and thought for the first time how old she must be. Spiricia went on, Little one, dragons do not choose their Riders because they are elves or powerful or high-ranking or even because they are of a certain gender. No, dragon will wait forever if need be for their life companion to come along and pat their shell. You would not imagine the different feelings that we feel every time someone touches our egg. Do you know how many people touched my egg? I can tell you this: millions. Do you think that my hatching was just happenstance? Little one, we were destined for one another since the beginning of time. Now we are one. As one, we will defeat the evil-hearted. As one, we will proceed to new dawns and to victory! Now little one, are you ready to fight?! Have you shaken from your conscious that foolish fear? Little one, we shall fight as one. Always and forever. By the time Spiricia was done, David's eyes were strangely burning and he was blinking rather spontaneously. Spiricia blinked at him, and her eyes held wisdom passed down over generations. Finally, David spoke in a rather choked and quiet voice, Spiricia, I never, ever doubted you. You hatched for me as a dragon and you are mine. MINE. You hear me? We will always be each other and we will always be there for each other. We are ONE. And if you had even began to think I had left you back there, I did not. I'll always be here as long as you are. Now, Spiricia I am ready. We shall fight this together and we shall fight any other battle like this one together. For truly today, I have become a Dragon Rider, not just a Rider. For what if a Rider without it's dragon? What were elves and dragons before being bound? Now, when you are ready we shall fight. Spiricia smiled at David and said two words. Two words that would always stick with David forever. Two words that signaled her ready for battle. Little one. David's eyes cleared and the fog seemed to lift a degree. Then, as one, the two dove toward the forest floor. David didn't ask what Spiricia was doing, he knew already. The dragon dove to the ground like a bright, silver blur and then braked and pulled into a blast into the sky. They were going so fast, David had to grip the saddle with both hands and bow his head against the wind. Then, Spiricia turned to face her opponents, her teeth bared snarling. She waited for them to near before continuing her before battle taunts.[/blockquote] Ooc//Sure, Star. It's about time anyways. (Done!)

Um, Winter? I think they've seen us, Amy informed her companion, leaning over the saddle. She had temporarily forgotten their disagreement a few moments ago. It was a moment before Winter replied, I know, Amy. But I am not backing down now. Besides, she is smaller than us and inexperienced. She will not last long. Amy rolled her eyes. You have forgotten that we have pursuers. No, I have not....
Amy sighed exasperatedly. Her dragon was so stubborn sometimes and this was one situation she couldn't talk her out of. She squinted up ahead and saw the silver dragon spurring high into the air and then swooping down again to face the oncoming Winter. Her teeth shone bright white in the sunlight and her eyes were burning. Winter sent encouraging images into Amy's head, propelling her onto the battle. Then, Winter pulled back her lips in a snarl.
Amy drew her elven sword and held it over her head. Winter roared a challenge at the other dragon and halted meters from her. Amy then did something daring, even for her. She stood up on the saddle and brandished the sword high above her head, it's silver blade gleaming in the late morning sun. She looked at the other Rider and narrowed her eyes, then smirked. "You flew away like the cowards you are after making sure Winter and I were delayed. But now you would turn and fight?" Winter growled at the enemy dragon and snapped at her suddenly. Amy, her face smirking, held her sword ready. "Then you will die out here, abandoned by your comrades, killed because you foolishly tried to oppose the Empire! The Empire will come back to power and Galbatorix will reign in Alagaƫsia!" Then, Winter flared her wings and readied herself for battle while Amy steadied herself on her back.

Avalon shaded his eyes and peered far out onto the horizon as Lucia flew steadily. The red dragon seemed agitated and rushed. The two had not said a thing to each other since they had departed after Spiricia and David to lend a helping hand to them. He feared that the Imperial Dragon Rider had gotten there already. Probably since most dragons were built for air travel while Lucia was built for agility but not so much speed. She could fight fairly well on the ground, but most dragons started battles while airborne which made it hard for her to keep her place in the Varden dragons. Most had welcomed Spiricia into their ranks, but when they had discovered Lucia's talent, they had just used her for patrolling which didn't take much energy. She had been irritable of the other dragons ever since. Avalon didn't blame her.
Now as they swept above the treetops, Avalon began to get agitated and anxious. What if the Imperial Rider had reached the ending of the air current and was already battling Spiricia? He knew she had good senses so hopefully she had been pre-warned of the attack. But he still feared for her. She wasn't fully trained and wouldn't last that long against a Rider, especially Winter and Amy. Avalon urged Lucia to go faster and the two sped east.

David cursed as the sky blue dragon approached them and growled threateningly. Her eyes were murderous and her Rider was just plain spelling 'dangerous'. Spiricia's muscles retracted under the saddle and she just bared her teeth and let out a low, almost inaudible hiss. The other Rider waited for her dragon to near before rising from the saddle until she stood on her dragon's back. There, she unsheathed her sword and brandished it in the air above her head. Fear coursed through David once again, but he swallowed it down, reClanmateing his beloved dragon's words. What is a Rider without his dragon? And David thought to himself, He is nothing. Not a Dragon Rider, that is for sure. Without his dragon, a Rider is not a Rider, but a man. A normal soldier or just a man. Now, as the other Rider lifted her weapon, he thought how he could ever have done this without Spiricia.
The enemy dragon flared her wings impressively and her muscles bulged under her tough, protective scales. The enemy was clearly an elf Rider so she must have usage of magic. Like David. David readied himself on Spiricia's back. He mustn't fall nor must his dragon tire. She must try to stay airborne at all costs. David felt like unsheathing his own sword from its scabbard, but he stayed put while the girl yelled out her before battle speech. "You flew away like the cowards you are after making sure Winter and I were delayed. But now you would turn and fight?" Here, the sky blue dragon suddenly lashed out at Spiricia. The silver dragon snorted, avoided the blow, lifted her head to the sky and roared. The sound rebounded off of the distant mountains ranging the Spine and seemed to echo even after Spiricia had finished. David had had barely any time to cover his ears and the sound reverberated in his head painfully. The Imperial Rider continued on with her speech, looking slightly shaken. "Then you will die out here, abandoned by your comrades, killed because you foolishly tried to oppose the Empire! The Empire will come back to power and Galbatorix will reign in Alagaƫsia!" Then the Rider steadied herself on her dragon's back and glared at David waiting for him to move. David sat, frozen after the speech and Spiricia's roar. But he soon came to and shook his head to clear his mixed thoughts on the battle.
Spiricia spread her wings to their full extent and her eyes gleamed with the exhilaration of battle. Please watch yourself. ReClanmate your lessons with Glaedr about impulsiveness! David tried to remind her, but she wasn't listening. She dove for the Rider, her head aimed at the Rider herself. All the while, she screamed at the other dragon. Traitor! Blood-spiller! Egg-breaker! Oath-breaker! Then, she swooped and smashed into the enemy dragon. Immediately, she began grappling at the other dragon, her claws screeching against the tough scales and armor. The two dragons began plummeting toward the ground and David was sorely reminded of his tumble from Spiricia's back earlier. The dragons spiraled toward earth as they struggled to get a grip on one another and snap at one another's neck. They were going at such a speed that David couldn't talk, let alone use magic. The enemy dragon's neck was blocking her Rider so Spiricia couldn't attack her. Spiricia blocked the dragon's aimed blows at David with her claws and hulk so David was also protected. David couldn't even reach for his sword, yet the other girl had her sword in her hand. Apparently both of these Imperials were well trained by Shruiken to fight. David muttered some good luck words in the Ancient Language as the pair battled each other while falling to the ground below.[/blockquote]
